Steve Roach's music generally falls into a number of sonic themes. There's his "earthly" side, which often involves rhythms with synths or drums. There's his "inner space" side, which is more abstract in feel. Eclipse Mix is an example of his "outer space" side, where the feel is more celestial. The phrase that comes to mind here is "heavy luminescence". It gets surprisingly intense at times and works as both foreground and background music. fyeahmetal
Very chilled experience. Works as background while reading or serious listening as there is a lot going on in this album. I also play it when running. I know a
lot of runners listen to hi octane, big beats music when running but I prefer ambient sounds Anthony Davies
